LOVE MAN
Characters

"Mike"
Tom Crilly
Mike is a complex fellow. Determined and passionate, volatile and easily irritated, he makes the decision to see his ex-girlfriend based entirely on instinct. From that point on in Love Man he only has one thing on his mind, Priya. Throughout the film, however, he comes to realise that this journey of his is far more important than the destination he set out for in the first place. Tom Crilly gives a warm, heartfelt, genuine and hilarious portrayal of Mike, a role he prepared thoroughly and uninhibitedly for.
"Pitts"
Greg Vicary
What is there to say about Pitts? He's a sarcastic, lazy, freeloading cynic, but a loveable one at that. Pitts is Mike's anchor in Love Man, allowing him the comfort of a friend for life but preventing his life and his world from taking off and moving on. Greg brought his comedic A-game to Love Man. He demonstrated a critical understanding of his character from day one and his initiative on set surprised everyone on a regular basis. A very talented actor and very fun to work with.
"Reggie"
Alan Ewing
Reggie is a wise, mysterious, articulate man who first encounters Mike and Pitts as a mugger. He strikes up a pleasant friendship with Mike after his overwhelming need to be wise and insightful leads to him giving Mike some much-needed advice about his love-life. Alan was a charming actor to work with. He constantly demonstrated high levels of enthusiasm and support towards the project and was able to deliver exactly what was required of him in a thoroughly endearing performance as "Reggie The Man".
"Priya"
Kerri Docherty
Priya is introduced as Mike's ex-girlfriend right at the beginning of the film. We never really learn what truly happened between Mike and Priya, but it is clear that he struggles to get her off his mind. Although she only appears for a short time, Priya is very important to the context of this story, therefore Kerri's icy delivery was perfect for capturing the essence of the unimpressed and possibly still hurting ex-girlfriend. This portrayal was testament to Kerri's skill as an actress, given that her constant positive attitude and bubbly personality on set were as far from Priya as one could imagine.

"Rowan"
Jay Giblin
"Trainee supervisor Rowan Godfrey" seems to be the only remaining working soul in the world following the announcement of the meteor. Mike and Pitts encounter the wacky Rowan on their search for food when they come across an aptly-named 'Donut Factory'. Jay delivered the perfect cameo performance that was required of him- providing laughs aplenty with his social ineptitude, facial reactions and infectious, outrageous laughter. Having originally auditioned for the role(s) of Mike and Pitts, the crew unanimously believed that Jay was born to play the role of Rowan and he did so in truly outstanding fashion.
